Over 70,000 head to Hillside...

It’s hard to believe that the British Masters was under threat last year given the bumper crowd of over 70,000 people who attended 2019's event - no doubt drawn in by home town hero and tournament host Tommy Fleetwood.

The galleries were treated to glorious golf, wonderful weather and fantastic facilities (despite its questionable timing in the golfing calendar). Come Sunday afternoon, it looked as though a playoff would be the most likely outcome, until Marcus Kinhult birdied his final two holes to win by one from Matt Wallace, Eddie Pepperell and Robert MacIntyre.

Englishman Wallace slammed his putter into the ground after squandering good chances for birdie on both 17 and 18, but can take heart from yet another fantastic performance as he makes his away across the pond to tee it up at the PGA Championship this week.

In 2020, Marcus Kinhult will aim to become only the third man to win back-to-back British Masters titles.

Here's an omen for you:

In the last 50 years, only three players have won the first two Majors of the year.

Tiger Woods managed the feat back in 2002 when he was victorious at both Augusta National (The Masters) and Bethpage Black (US Open) - the same venues as the first two Majors this time round. Having already donned the Green Jacket in 2019, it wouldn't come as a surprise to see Tiger add to his haul of Major victories and repeat this achievement once more.

The golden combo

What would you say if we could show you a way of achieving greater accuracy and longer distance from the tee? You would say yes, right? Well, here’s your answer…

Have you been custom fitted?

First things first, the easiest way to achieve the holy grail of long, straight drives is to find the middle of the clubface every time, which is easier said than done for most of us. Following that, it’s all about launching your drives high with a good spin rate.

Simple, right?

It doesn’t matter how fast or smoothly you swing, if the clubhead and shaft are a bad match for the way you play, your chances of sending a perfect drive into the air will be seriously hampered.

Titleist TS drivers

So, the very first thing we need to do is get you fitted correctly. During the process, we will chat about your game, watch you hit some balls, and assess what you have told us in order to find the right shaft/head combination for your game.

Two clubs that we will definitely try are Titleist's TS2 and TS3 drivers.

Both have Titleist's Speed Chassis for incredible speed increases, with the TS2 offering maximum forgiveness from a high launch and the TS3 providing shot-shape correction.
